OPF Membership, Lifetime Value, Lifetime Care

Family OPF Membership provides opportunities for the entire family of an Overseas Pakistani.
All those Pakistanis who travelled abroad on valid and protected work visas after 23 March 1979 through the Protectorate of Emigrants, Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment (BE&OE), or Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) are automatically registered with OPF and can avail themselves of OPF’s services.
Overseas Pakistanis who are not registered with OPF can voluntarily register by paying a one-time membership fee of just a 10,000/- ten thousand rupees, thereby gaining access to a wide range of benefits and services offered by OPF.

To obtain OPF membership, there are two categories:

Compulsory Membership:

Overseas Pakistanis who have proceeded abroad after 23rd March, 1979 on valid protected work visa by the Protectorate of Emigrants, Bureau of Emigrations & Overseas Employment (BE&OE) and Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) are automatically registered with OPF.

Voluntary Category:

Overseas Pakistanis, who are not registered with OPF can do so by getting themselves Registered Voluntarily with OPF after paying Rs. 10,000/- on standard terms and conditions.

  • Photocopy of a valid passport.
  • Photocopy of the passport page showing the registration seal from the Protectorate of Emigrants.
  • Pay order or bank draft of PKR 10,000 in favour of OPF as the membership fee (applicable if not registered with the Protectorate of Emigrants).
  • Two recent passport-sized colour photographs.
  • Photocopy of CNIC or NICOP.
  • Photocopy of a valid visa or Iqama (residence permit).
  • ⁠Duly completed and signed prescribed application form.

To obtain a duplicate OPF membership card, the following documents are required:

  • Filled and signed prescribed application form.
  • ⁠Photocopy of valid visa or Iqama (residence permit).
  • ⁠Photocopy of a valid passport.
  • Photocopy of CNIC or NICOP.
  • Service charges for a duplicate card: PKR 1,000.
  • Urgent processing fee for the membership card: PKR 2,000.

OPF Membership card is valid for the period of 05 years.

Issuance of  OPF Membership Cards.

Issuance of Membership Card:

  • Photo copy of valid passport
  • Photocopy of passport page showing seal of registration with Protectorate of Emigrants
  • Pay order/ bank draft of Rs. 10,000/- in favor of OPF as membership fee (in case not registered with Protectorate of Emigrants)
  • Photocopy of CNIC/NICOP/POC
  • Photocopy of Valid Visa/Aqama (Residence permit)
  • Duly filled prescribed application form




Amount Deposit:

Pay Order/ Bankers Cheque of Pak. Rupees 10,000/- in favour of OPF

Or

Transfer Pak. Rupees 10,000/- as OPF Membership Fee along with Bank Charges (if Any) in Overseas Pakistanis Foundation.

For online membership, the membership fee is accepted through Visa and MasterCard via the Internet Payment Gateway (IPG).

What is the OPF Membership Card?

The OPF Membership Card is issued by the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation to facilitate overseas Pakistanis and their dependents with various services and benefits in Pakistan

All Pakistani citizens holding valid NICOP or Pakistani Passport and working abroad with a valid visa or work permit can apply. It also includes foreign nationals of Pakistani origin.

You can apply:

  • Online through the official OPF website: https://opf.org.pk
  • In person at designated OPF offices.
  • Through Pakistani embassies or consulates abroad.

Usually, the following documents are required:

  • Copy of NICOP/CNIC
  • Valid passport copy
  • Valid visa/residency/work permit
  • Passport-sized photo
  • Application form (online or manual)

Yes, there is a nominal fee. The fee varies depending on whether you apply from within Pakistan or from abroad.

The OPF Membership Card is usually valid for 5 years and can be renewed upon expiry.

Yes, dependents (such as spouse and children) of overseas Pakistanis can also be eligible for benefits through the primary member’s card.

You can apply for a duplicate card by submitting a written application, a copy of FIR (if applicable), and your identification documents to OPF.

Renewal can be done online or in person, just like the initial application. Updated documents (valid visa, passport) are required.
