BARRISTER AMJAD MALIK CONGRATULATES FORMER MAYOR

OF BRADFORD TO JOIN OPAC

Former Mayor of Bradford Honourable Ghazanfar Khaliq called on the Chairman BoG of the OPF at his chambers on 18 November 2017 with a delegation of residents from Bradford.

Both discussed issues of overseas nationals and role of @opf_pk in resolving it.

Amjad Malik briefed that OPC Punjab is assisting expats in 36 districts of Punjab and has dealt with nearly 8000 complaints, OPC AJK Act is passed, and soon the commission will kick start under the patronage of Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to address the issues of the millions of residents of AJK in UK Europe and gulf countries and OPF has so far taken 20,000 complaints all around the country.

A 24-hour help line 009251-111040040 is operational and portal at both OPF and OPC is operational at OPF web sites: www.opf.org.pk and www.opc.punjab.gov.pk respectively. OPF desks at 8 international airports are operational and community welfare attaches with missions are providing excellent services internationally as public servants. Open public meetings are being organized and OPF chairman has addressed over 20 khulli kithchehrys worldwide.

Former Mayor lauded the initiatives taken by the new board of the OPF since April 2016.

Barrister Amjad Malik congratulated Ghazanfar Khaliq on coming at the Advisory Council of the OPF and a certificate of membership was given to him with a shield and membership pack.

Bradford resident a 74 years old Abdul Majid shared his outstanding complaint and case against land Mafia in Johar Abad (Punjab).

Chairman OPF assured that Supreme Court, Government in centre and Punjab and in provinces and OPF and OPC all are trying to make land grabbers a history. Policies are being implemented after due deliberation and once these commissions coupled with Court support and specialist judicial mechanism start addressing grievances, 8 million overseas nationals will be relieved.
