 A delegation from UAE headed by Irfan Subhani Advocate called on the Chairman Board of Governors of the Overseas Pakistani Foundation Barrister Amjad Malik at his chambers in Rochdale on 2 February 2018.

Chairman OPF welcomed the delegation and congratulated Irfan Subhani to serve OPC Punjab and OPF through his team led by Noor Ul Hassan Tanvir a member of the Board of Governors of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation and a respectable chair of the nomination and training committee
Chairman OPF confirmed that over 100 members from different states of GCC countries including UAE has been included on the OPF Advisory Panel duly set under Chairmanship of Noor ul Hassan Tanvir.

He said it will foster relations between 3 million overseas Pakistanis in KSA, United Arab Emirates and GCC countries and the OPF and will increase its meaningfulness.

The delegation discussed the issues which confront the overseas community in details in particular United Arab Emirates and how to improve information network and connectivity between Pakistan and the Diaspora. Chairman confirmed that with the assistance of board member, he has conducted annual seminar and MD OPF has specially visited UAE and OPF has held skype conference with all 15 members of the UAE. He confirmed that OPC AJK will facilitate overseas Pakistanis hailing from Azad Kashmir and a special set up will be recommended for Capital and Fata areas.

Chairman briefed the delegation of the actions OPF has taken to end red tape through OPAC (OPF advisory council), improve its services through online complaint system, overseas Pakistanis Commissions in provinces, improved website www.opf.org.pk , portal to lodge complaint, 24 hours helpline 009251-111-040-040 and a help desk at 8 international airports in Pakistan.

He mentioned that open public meetings through missions in overseas, and engagement through Advisory Council for betterment in the service delivery, annual report and International Convention will assist to make a reformed policy, and take policy decisions for the betterment of the overseas community. He emphasized that the board has operated zero tolerance in corruption and in 18 months, BoG tried to bridle all issues which came to their notice.

The delegation appreciated the idea of promotion of image, service delivery and investment of skills and experience along with healthy remittances and offered their unconditional cooperation to OPF in this pursuit.
