Foreign Exchange Remittance Card

Q. No. 1 How long does it take to get a card?
Answer

Normally it takes two weeks to process the case from the date of receipt in this Office.

 
Q. No. 2 What is the validity period of these cards & when can a card holder avail the incentives.
Answer

The validity period of Remittance Card is one year from the date of issue and card holders are entitled to avail the incentives till the expiry date.

 
Q. No. 3 Can the card be upgraded?
Answer

Yes, the card holders can immediately send OPF the bank conversion receipts showing the transaction of minimum requirement for upgradation. The Remittance Card would immediately be changed.

 
Q. No. 4 What if the departments concerned do not entertain the FER Card holders at airports?
Answer
